Being a black woman...

Posted by Mizzjuicyflava - December 7th, 2011

...is so hard

People automatically assume I'm some ghetto chick with no tact and a stank attitude. And I get treated that way. If I show a little self respect, I'm arrogant.

I need to get the hell out of South Carolina. Fast

Because of media black woman is either ghetto strippers for rap videos, or soulful and independence for Mc Donald commercials.
allot of the time its "you wanna see some ass? I wanna see some cash"

Exmuthafukincatly! Thank you Mr. KILLY12!!

Do you tell them that your NG name is mizzjuicyflava? Or nursejuicyboo on AIM?
Cause don't do that.

lmao . Hellll nooo!!! Besides NusreJuicyBoo was supposed to be Nurse Juicy Boogers. That was my name in a skit I was in at college. That name is almost 10 yrs old. I think I'm going to get another AIM name.

Bill Maher said, "People say I'm into black women. Robert De Niro is into black women. I'm just into women who are real, and they happen to be black" if that makes you feel any better ;)

It did put a slight smile on my face. thank you!

Oh and you're on my favorites list :)

Really?! Cool! :D

Let's bomb ghettos. Take care of that problem.

well what about the arrogant, I dont need a man, independent bitches?

Let 'em be. Because the probably at least contribute to society

Hell, I get 2 dollars in the jar already.

Consider wearing a tailored suit everywhere. Nobody messes with a black chick in a three-piece.

I understand what you saying. And the situation can get mean sometimes. But for the most part I'm being labeled. I'm not good enough or too good enough. Its like I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don"t

Yeah there are a lot of people who dont like me. And that's ok. Just dont disrespect me.

Thank you for the nice words. You always have nice things to say!

Oh wow, South Caroline? I hear there is a lot of racism down there.

I live up north more, and though black people aren't extremely common up here for the most part with the exception of cities or suburbs, they are becoming more and more present over the years, which I find really positive. People up where I live are extremely open-minded and friendly (except in some more rural areas) and seem to be really welcoming toward the influx of people of all different backgrounds that are becoming increasingly more common here.

I have always hated that the bad stereotypes about black people infiltrate so many peoples' opinions about ALL black people, even though there are plenty of 'trashy, ghetto' white people or other racial backgrounds as well. I see plenty of neat, put-together black people who are very successful, intelligent, hard-working members of society, and people even refer to them negatively, calling them 'white black people' or something, as if black people all have to fit into that small and crappy stereotype. So in a way, a lot of people are holding them back.

As for black women, I've always seen you guys as having it the hardest of all, because not only do you have racial stereotypes to contend with, but you have gender stereotypes as well. The black women I know seem extremely strong, independent, great with advice and social matters, and have such a keen insight on the world, and it really hurts me to see other people judge them before knowing them personally, whether in the media or just in social atmospheres. It just seems so close-minded and really holds back society as a whole, I feel.

"As for black women, I've always seen you guys as having it the hardest of all, because not only do you have racial stereotypes to contend with, but you have gender stereotypes as well."

YESS!!! *Applause* Thank you maam! That is my main point.

And to add insult to injury, some black men are the ones who are doing the stereotyping. Its crazy.

Ack, South CAROLINA, whoops! And holy crap I just went on a rant! I'm so sorry, haha!

Honey, its all good. I was about to type a long rant myself in the response. What you said was the truth.

I live in Florida and have oddly not met very many racist people.

Its according to where you live and who you socialize with. I could give you a typed a lecture about where I live and all that but I'm too lazy and hungry.

dig a hole to china

I'm trying man!
