I've been here for awhile and seen a lot of the movies here. I notice not many animators use old school funk in their movies, unless I'm not looking hard enough.
Soul Makossa by Manu Dibango is one of my all time fav. If I could, I would make animation to this song. I dont know a thing about animation and I can't draw worth a damn! Maybe one day I'll have the courage to learn. As for right now I'll just keep on listening to my music.
EDIT: I'm trying to draw better with a mouse so I drew a Narcissy monster. I remember him saying that there should be a Narcissy monster. Suggest something for me to draw so I can get better.

You ever made a flip book with sticky notes? That's pretty much exactly what animation is, except with tools to make it less tedious.

So you draw a bunch a frames over and over. Sounds simple. I can't draw well with a mouse though. It took me almost an hour to draw the Afro Mama pic.
