I have noticed there have been a lot of "hi I'm new" threads. Here is suggestion.
Long ago I used to be a very active member on the adult swim forums. For new users, there was a period where you couldn't post. It was mandatory that you read the rules and you only had to read the forums to see whats what.
I dont know how that would work here but its a suggestion.

People would probably just bitch about it. Plus a lot of users don't post for a long time after they sign up. I think my first post was about a year after my sign-up date.

Yeah true. I didn't post for a while after signing up either. But surprisingly I did read the rules. My first newspost was about being a new user.
